IT’s an opportunity to build your business idea alongside some of the city’s diverse young entrepreneurs in Chippendale’s burgeoning creative precinct.

Co-working project space CoSydney has a seat at the desk — literally and figuratively — up for grabs in their Blackfriars Lane headquarters for a young creative with a burning passion and big idea.
“It could be anything, there is no limit on what your idea might be,” said co-founder Vinh Van Lam (pictured above).
“You could be an artist, a copywriter, an architect. I think people wonder, ‘well what is a creative?’
“But there is no definition, it’s your own definition.”
CoSydney’s inaugural Shine Award prize, offered in partnership with Bendigo Bank Pyrmont, offers a $5000 prize to the winner, a work space within CoSydney and access to the enterprise’s one-on-one business mentorship programs.
“The value of the prize is in the access to the experience and the expertise of our business mentors,” he said.
“This is the perfect competition for those people who have the idea — but not the opportunity.
Entrants may be starting their project virtually from scratch or have been working on it for two years or more.

Ideas must be innovative and unique and can fit a variety of categories — art, entertainment, tourism, social enterprise and more.
Entries open today and will close on Friday, November 20.
For those requiring help with their submission, CoSydney will offer a workshop on how to enter the award. Come along on Saturday, October 31 from 10am to learn more.
